To keep you informed of the people that constitute KLAS, here goes some info on the Jury members for the Call for Artists 2017.
Alessandra Pace (IT)
is an art historian, curator and consultant for contemporary art with a focus on science and medicine. She studied art history at London University College and received her MA at the Courtauld Institute in London, thereafter specialising as a curator at the Magasin, Centre National d’Art Contemporain in Grenoble.
She teaches at the Universität der Künste in Berlin and has curated projects and exhibitions for the Medical History Museum and Schering Foundation, the Neurosurgery Department at Charité Hospital, the Italian Embassy, Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin, the National Glass Centre in Sunderland (UK) with the collaboration of the Centre for Magnetic Resonance at Newcastle University, the FRAC Champagne-Ardenne in Reims, Arken Museum for Moderne Kunst, Copenhagen, GAM-Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, Turin, the City Council of Siena and the Province of Bolzano. She has produced one-person exhibitions with artists that include Chen Zhen, Tony Cragg, John Bock, Gerwald Rockenschaub, Pedro Cabrita Reis, Tobias Rehberger. Art Anesthetic, on the interface between art & medicine for Histoire de la pensée médicale contemporaine edited by Bernardino Fantini and Louise Lambrichs at University of Geneva (published by Le Seuil) is her last essay published in books and magazines.
Raised in Milan, Italy, by Italian-Finnish parents. She has been based in Berlin since 1997. See: www.mirror-images.de
